Thank you for your terrific column on phenology. Early this morning, before I saw it, I became interested in the word. I think it was the Farmer's Almanac website offering another of its phenological posters, this one on the life cycle of several mushrooms. The artist creates captivating life cycles...and so it went, down the rabbit hole. I even found a very cool watercolor graphic on the phenology of oak trees.
So, after returning home from errands a short while ago, I read your very title in my email! At first I thought it was some trick of AI--you know, how after you look something up, it never leaves you alone? But on noticing your trusted name, I read about this fantastic discovery.
Long intro, I know. But geesh, what are the chances? Looks like I found my word for my monthly column, "Speaking of words!"
I think I'll sign up to help transcribe some of that data.

When I saw the word, "Phenology" I thought for sure it was phrenology the study of bumps on your head! That for sure is a landmark discovery!
